well, this isn't gonna be all that interesting so i'm warning you now, go back to your internet-surfing life and do not read on!!
erm. anyway. art, i've realized lately, is so very difficult. being able to draw or express your imagination/thoughts is only half the battle. the other half is actually having the perseverance to finish the drawing, because currently i have about 300 pieces that are UNfinished and probably never will be finished, half-good as they are. the ones that actually do get finished end up being not up to par since they are the product of 1 hour of inspiration-fueled genius, and 10 hours of torturing oh-em-gee-i-MUST-finish-this-piece-of-art-if-it's-the-last-thing-i *dies*
needless to say, i thoroughly admire artists who are able to finish their pieces of art and make them look a kabillion times as good as my art will ever be. kudos to those amazing talented people. and grrrr to them too.
currently, i am stuck working on a 20" x 40" traditional chinese watercolour painting for my aunt. i must meticulously copy, line for line, the tiny thumbnail of a reference she has given me and make it huge enough to hang on her wall T_T it's been three days of pre-sketching and i'm going crazy here with the tree branches.
HOW DO YOU PEOPLE DO IT???? how do you just...FINISH something?? it's like...the hardest thing in the world for me! @______________@

and your drawings have such heart ^__^ keep it up!
